A Five Minute Life by Emma Scott

Jim looked up and found Thea❤️

This is one of the most unforgettable love stories that I ever read, it’s also my first book from Emma and now I want to devour everything she ever wrote.

*this will be a spoiler free review*

This story had the ability to move me beyond words, Emma gives us Jim who’a a foster kid with a speech impairment who’s never really known love and Thea who has one of the worst cases of amnesia ever recorded, every five minutes her mind resets.

I love when I just randomly decide to read a book without any recommendations and it turns out to be a Gem! This book was that Gem for me this year.

From the moment I met Jimmy I loved him, he’s a broken soul who’s been dealt a horrible hand.  He’s been bullied for his stutter all his life so now he’s insecure and hardly ever speaks.
Then he meets the beautiful Thea, who has this larger than life personality and he immediately feels a connection to her not knowing that she’s actually a patient at his new job.

After the first chapter I had so many ideas as to where this story would go but NOTHING could of prepared  me for the journey that I was about to go on with these characters. I remember thinking how can you craft a love story between two ppl when one of them mind constantly resets?  Let me tell you, the story that Emma lays before us is nothing short of magical. It’s fragile, intricate and complex, every word she wrote stretched my heart to the breaking point.
I was right there hurting with Jimmy as he had to endure every single one of Thea’s resets and I was feeling all of Thea’s emotions as she tried to fight her way out of the darkness.

Jimmy, my sweet boy “Jimmy with the kind eyes” his love was unshakable! I laughed, cried, broke and loved with him. He’s a beautiful person inside and out and his feelings for Thea never once wavered through their story. I loved that this story was so unbelievably heartbreaking but yet so powerfully honest. It wrecked havoc on my heart because I had no idea how it would end seeing that the story was so detailed and honest about Thea’s recovery...but with all it’s twits and emotional tumult it came together in the most brilliant way.

This is honestly romance at its best! I cannot say enough good things about this book.
If you’re in the mood to read an amazing story that makes you believe in a love that goes beyond reason and doubt then I definitely recommend.

5/5 stars for this brilliant five minute love story that I will never forget.

Collection Of My Favorite Dark Reads

Hi bibliophiles, When I first started reviewing books and sharing my thoughts in FB groups I had no idea that people would actually like them or want to know my opinions. After so many discussions I decided to create this list because Dark Romance is my favorite genre and a lot of you always asks for recommendations. Please keep in mind that this is a list of some of MY favorite books, I do read a lot so I will keep updating as time goes on or if I happen to remember a book that I forgot to put on the list lol. I feel like I need to post a Warning ⚠️. These books are not for the faint of hearts- if you have any triggers I do not recommend reading any of the books posted below. Some are darker than others but ALL contains triggers.  In no particular order:  The Dark Duet by CJ Roberts  The GoodBye Man by Ashleigh Giannoccaro  The Decimation of Mae by DH Sidebottom  The Dollar Series by Pepper Winters  War & Peace Series by K Webster Sick Fux...

Complicated Hearts Duet by Ashley Jade

"OH MY LANTA" Let me start by saying that this is one of my favorite books ever and because of that reason I was hesitant to do this review but someone actually requested it so here goes.  *Spoiler Free* I first read this Duet back in 2018 and to say I WAS NOT EXPECTING this book is an understatement. The cover and blurb did not capture my attention so I had it on my kindle for a while and after reading another book from Ashley I decided to give it a go because I loved her writing style. This duet is told in three point of views and let me just say the web that Ashley weaved here is FUCKING EXCEPTIONAL. '' The heart is a dangerous thing, because the organ never lies. No matter how many deceptions you try to feed it....it always knows what and who it beats for'' Breslin is in love with Asher Holden , the boy who stole her heart completely and who she wants to spend the rest of her life with. That is until the day came that he ruined her....now she...

Wicked Lies Boys Tell by K Webster

Firstly I just want to say that I have an unhealthy obsession with this author, she writes some of the most deliciously dark and dirty books! *this is an MM book*  I always get excited whenever K releases a new book because she’s one of those authors that I love everything she writes. When I read the blurb for Wicked Lies Boys Tell I began counting down the days until the notification popped up on my kindle lol. Everything about this books grabs you and sucks you in from the first page. Meet Penn, all American jock, super popular trust fund baby and a Liar! Then there’s Cope, brooding artist, bad boy , and a cold hearted devil with a hot girlfriend but he happens to be the biggest Liar of them all, also they are Ex- best friends turned enemies. After a reconciliation, their relationship is no longer black or white but it’s in this weird grey area. Emotions are running strong and the odds are set against Penn and Cope. This story is filled with forbidden feelings and half ...
